Clinical Neurophysiology

What is Clinical Neurophysiology?

Clinical Neurophysiology is a diagnostic speciality which involves recording electrical signals from various parts of the nervous system. We receive referrals from a wide range of medical services. The tests we do are used to help diagnose epilepsy, nerve and muscle illnesses. The tests which we carry out are most commonly known as EEG, EMG and EP.

What does our service offer?

Most of our services are provided in a clinic setting where patients will have their tests carried out by one of the medical or technical staff. All studies are then interpreted by one of the medical staff and a report sent to the referring doctor.

There are links below to our patient information leaflets which provide more detail of the individual tests as well as to a video on what to expect for Nerve Conduction Studies and EMG.
