Neurology for Oncology

Individuals with brain tumours typically experience a range of neurological symptoms affecting a range of functional abilities. Although specialist care of such conditions is typically by brain surgeons (neurosurgeons) and oncologists, a neurologist with specialist expertise provides additional care with the goal of improving the quality of life of patients.

What does the service offer?

A specialist clinic for individuals with brain tumours requiring specialist neurologist assessment and advice, working in conjunction with the oncology and neurosurgery services of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow and the Beatson Cancer Centre. Patients will be seen by the most appropriate member of the multi-disciplinary team to discuss proposed care plans and management of symptoms that may arise in their illness.
