Visiting times:

Ward 67: 15:00 – 16:30 and 18:30 – 20:00

Ward 53: 14:30 – 16:30 and 18:30 – 20:00

Parking: There are now 2 multi-storey car parks for patient and visitors at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but please note that there is a 4 hour maximum stay restriction.

Patients are often admitted to another ward or hospital with advice on their care provided by a neurologist.  If you wish to visit a patients on wards in other hospitals, please ask advice from a ward nurse, ward clerk or any other health care professional.

Visitors for all inpatient wards should follow these guidelines:

On arrival at ward level all visitors should wash their hands with the gel located at the entrance to the ward. This is applied by squirting a little gel onto the hands, massaging it in like hand cream and allowing it to air dry naturally

Only 2 visitors are allowed per bed at any one time

Children must be accompanied by an adult and be supervised at all times

Babies should only be brought at the discretion of the parents and nursing staff

Please respect the privacy of patients and families

Please keep noise to a minimum

No smoking is allowed within hospital buildings and grounds.

Visitors should not visit if suffering from colds, flu or other infectious conditions. If you are uncertain, please ask a member of nursing staff for advice

Please refrain from bringing food to the ward. If this cannot be avoided, arrange this with Sister or Nurse-in-Charge before hand

Visits outside normal hours are possible by arrangement with the Sister or Nurse-in-Charge

Animals are not permitted within the hospital, except for guide dogs
